I've installed aim etc and when I type, it gives v limited textual response (and no voice).  Is this to be expected?

The bot engine (the free download) only gives text replies, that's normal. To access the mp3 files (voice) and amplitude files (which control the lip movements) you need to buy and install Alfredo.

OK - managed to get it all working, but voice seems very slow and distorted, any suggestions why?

And

I am v new to php, and my site is php generated, how do I put html code into a php page?  If this is asking too much, then I'd be grateful if you could point me in the right direction.

could you send me a link to your bot page? It should be the fastest bot around.

As for the html code: at the insertion point, close your php code with "?>" and re-open it after the html with "< ?php"

i should have mentioned the distribution contains a different voice than the one on this site. So yes, it's peculiar, but it's how it's supposed to be

if you send me an mp3 of your own making i'll test it, give it the right filename and make an amp file for it so you can see how it works
